“It’s comforting knowing I care so deeply about the words of a stranger, and that maybe, just maybe, my words will comfort someone, in some way similar.” The biggest hope. Stellar essay and I am obsessed with the format. More please!

"I feel so far removed from that version of myself. It felt like I could’ve been describing a movie character. But, for real, I have no idea. They show up when I’m alone, when I’m rested, when I take substances. I have a difficult time being that version of myself. How do I access them more?"

we... are in eerily similar stages of an eerily similar journey. as selfish as i KNOW this sounds, this could've been my own writing - not because your words aren't unequivocally yours and beautifully unique, but because you're not alone in these maddening thought/action patterns (and goddamn do i need to get better about putting thoughts to paper throughout the day - even if it's just a quick set of observations to ground myself, like you displayed here - what a great tool).

this is enviable vulnerability at its finest and this essay has done nothing but encourage me to make healthy self-interrogation evergreen, and remind myself that getting it out and finding those you identify with is so, so, SO important (gonna do everything i can to make the next meetup!!!).

thank you for sharing your inner world to make the outer one that much more beautiful!
